Scotland’s Third Sector Governance Forum has been working to develop a Scottish Governance Code for the Third Sector. The Code sets out the core principles of good governance for the boards of charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises in Scotland.
We wanted to create a Code that is for the sector, by the sector. We therefore took a draft Code out to consultation in July 2018. We received 250 responses.
The feedback from the consultation is being used to draft a final version of the Code which we will launch in November 2018 at the Trustees Week conference. Our aim is to create a website where the Code will sit alongside various resources, documents, templates and guidance.
You can read a summary of the consultation responses here.
